eBay gold/item buyers... reported flamers... bot runners... heavy farmers...

Hey it's just like every other MMO now! Wooohoooo!

Yep we've hit that milestone and it's official. It seems like every 10th post is about something along these lines. Do you think Arena doesn't notice 500k coming into your account within 45 minutes? You'll get warned if you're reported flaming, banned if you run bots. Nerfed if you're a heavy farmer. Well what to do with the badies of the game instead of warnings and nerfing? Banning them is too quick and painless. Let's do some creative (and humorus if possible) thinking.

#1 Idea: Ascalon Prison

Do not pass go. Do not collect $200 platinum from eBay. You're butt is heading straight to the jailhouse for a variable number of hours based on the 'crime'. Sure you can sign on, but you'll be in there with all the other convicts of the game. A standarized message greeting awaits your arrival "Welcome to the Ascalon Jailhouse. For the duration of your stay you can no longer attempt to ruin the game, the game will now attempt to ruin you for the next 'x amount' of hours." For the next several days you either have the choice to not logon, or log on and avoid your 'urge driven' NPC cellmate. Yep they're gonna take it straight to your backside, well not literally. All you can do is converse how much this "SuXX0rzz" with the other inmates. Your stay isn't free of course. Do you expect the honest citizens to pay taxes for your cable TV and room/board? Nope. Say goodbye to that maxed out storage account you paid $60 bucks for on eBay.

#2 Idea: Weekly Wall of Shame

You poor thing. How could they ban you?! You were just screwing up the game for everyone else?! Well as a consolation prize you can have your ip address ingraved in a weekly wednesday wallpaper downloadable by everyone. Yep, you have been immortalized on the desktops of millions as a glorified cheater. Now make sure you have a good firewall.

#3 Idea: A Special Cape for a Special Person

Did you say racist/sexual/intimdating/rude comments over general chat? Well how about being automatically set on everyone's ignore list for a specified duration and wearing a bright yellow cape with a glowing flame icon to say, "Hey I think I can say whatever I want over the internet because nothing will happen to me!"

Did you somehow just come across 300k in the last 2 hours? Well how about being put on the ignore list and not able to access any merchants. Don't forget the bright green cap with a glowing red dollar bills that tells everyone, "I was going to be >>RoXoR<< with Fissure armor, but now I can't do anything except play the game how I was supposed to."

Did you just find an exploited chest you've been farming all day? Say goodbye to chat and the merchants. Oh, and here, have a brown cape with a glowing cow (for farming) on it that tells everyone, "Yo I was out farming and found this sweet spot which they nerfed just because of me."

Ok so I know I made it sound ridiculous, but maybe something along these lines could be introduced. Any one else got some more bright ideas they'd like to share?

I think they should have some really hott NPC's give you a spanking when you're being naughty...

Oops, diffrent kind of naughty.

1. Solved: They'll just ban you if you're caught ebaying stuff or boting. Farming, they've pretty much eliminated most those areas as far as I know.

2. That's just funny.

3. Just about everyone would be running around with those special capes.

I flame people all the time...luckily for me, they're all eBayers and haven't actually played the game long enough to know how to report people. I think they should ban players who are cought eBaying or botting, and give them a message saying their CD KEY has been banned. But really it's their IP, so they go out and buy another copy for nothing.
